I wanted to reach out and update you on what we are doing at Bethlehem to help our tenants and clients in these unprecedented times. Like you, our team is facing challenges at this time and are having to react to conditions that are rapidly changing. We are taking precautions for the safety and well‑being of our employees while maintaining capabilities to provide stable housing and support services for the most vulnerable in our community.
Due to the growing concerns about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), in response to information provided by Niagara Region Public Health, Bethlehem has made changes to some of our programs and support services to promote safety.
The 15th Annual Empty Bowls Event took place on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Americana Conference Centre, Niagara Falls. This year's event was our most successful yet, raising $61,000 for programming and services at Bethlehem!

On November 19, 2019 the Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) hosted their annual Early Learning and Child Care Awards of Excellence. Our EarlyON Coordinator, Tiffany Grant was honoured with the EarlyON Child & Family Centres Practitioner Award.
On November 8, 2019 the Women in Niagara Council hosted their 19th Annual Women in Business Awards at the Marriott on The Falls celebrating the contributions and achievements of women from across Niagara. Our Executive Director, Lori Beech was honoured with the Community Impact Award.
We are delighted to welcome our newest intern, Emily Zwart. Emily is in the Media and Communication Studies program at Brock University. During her time with Bethlehem, she hopes to gain experience and skills by actively participating in the creative process for developing communications and online promotions for our Housing Hero campaign and Empty Bowls fundraiser.
On National Housing Day, November 22, 2019 we launched our Housing Hero Campaign in support of affordable housing and support services in Niagara.
