Madison first heard about Bethlehem Housing and Support Services in June of 2016. After having done some research on Bethlehem, she was very intrigued by what we had to offer and decided to volunteer at our Child and Family Centre.
On Wednesday, November 22, the community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of our new affordable housing development in downtown St. Catharines.
St. Catharines Mayor, Walter Sendzik, is a strong supporter for finding solutions to the affordable housing issue in Niagara. He is also a big supporter of our new development project on 111 Church Street in St. Catharines.

On Wednesday, October 18th, members of the region’s corporate services committee agreed unanimously to waive approximately $1 million in development charges for our new housing development.
Help end homelessness and reduce the impact of poverty across the Niagara Region by joining us at the 13th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser for Bethlehem Housing and Support Services. At the event Niagara’s finest chefs prepare and serve their favourite soup in one-of-a-kind bowls created by local potters.
Tammy and Melissa both work for Enercare’s Golden Horseshoe location. They first got involved with Bethlehem Housing & Support Services when Enercare partnered with the organization to provide personalized Fresh Start packages to families that live at Bethlehem Place.
Diane has been living at Kenmore Court in Niagara Falls for more than eight years. She is one of the first residents to move into the building and has been a long-standing volunteer security resident.
Drew is a long-term member of the St. Thomas Church, which is one of the downtown churches that helped to create Bethlehem Housing.
