We are pleased to announce Rhiannon Barry as our new Community Engagement Coordinator. Rhiannon has years of experience in social services, she is an established community builder, a professional volunteer coordinator and a creative event planner. She is also well known in the local arts community as a talented socially conscious artist who gives back to the community through her art and art therapy.
Rhiannon worked for several years as the volunteer and community connections coordinator at the Niagara Folk Arts MultiCultural Centre. Recently, she was instrumental in bringing the 150 Mosaic Mural project to St. Catharines, a contribution to the national arts community. Mosaic tiles were painting during opening day of the Niagara Folk Arts Festival, and became part of a 400-piece mosaic from Niagara that was added to a larger mosaic as part of the Canada 150 celebrations. The mosaic will soon to be displayed in downtown St. Catharines. See below for photos of the St. Catharines Canada 150 mosaic.
As Bethlehem's Community Engagement Coordinator Rhiannon will be responsible for program support and coordination of our fundraising activities, including event coordination, marketing and communications, volunteer management, and fund development.
Rhiannon has a passion for Bethlehem's mission, she enjoys organizing community based fundraising events and initiatives to generate revenue, and has enthusiasm for developing and implementing engagement strategies to create meaningful interactions with volunteers, donors, and supporters.
Please welcome Rhiannon to our Bethlehem team!
