What Activities Can You Get Involved With?
Volunteers are integral to our success in helping people overcome the obstacles they face. There are many volunteer opportunities available, including special events, committee work, maintenance, and group child care and parent relief. Without the loyal support of the many dedicated volunteers who help us each year our services would not be possible.

Child & Youth Programs | Hands on assisting with EarlyON Centre staff
Volunteers assist the EarlyON Centre staff by caring for children while their parents attend a variety of life skills programs or parenting groups offered at Bethlehem Housing and Support Services.
They also help provide social/recreational programming to the School Age Club (children 6-12 years of age). Visit our EarlyON Centre page for more information.

Special Events | Volunteer to help at a fundraising event
Volunteers assist with one of our fundraiser events, a third party fundraiser or an information fair (sharing information and volunteer opportunities at various events). Some of our larger fundraisers typically require over 40 volunteers to help with set up, during the event and tear down. Some events require volunteers to be over 18 years of age.

Bingo | Greeting and helping out with bingo night tasks
Volunteers are needed for our Bingo nights held at Delta Bingo & Gaming in St. Catharines, one Wednesday night per month from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and one Saturday afternoon per month from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Bingo is an easy way to help us raise funds.
The responsibilities of the volunteer include greeting guests, providing information about the jackpot and promoting Bethlehem Housing and Support Services (no handling of money is required).
You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer at the Delta Bingo & Gaming centre. Dress attire includes dark pants, white collared shirt and Bethlehem name tag. All volunteers must complete an orientation facilitated by Delta Bingo in advance.

Board Committees | Join a special interest or project committee
There are also volunteer opportunities for involvement on our Board Committees (Development, Finance, Governance, and Human Resources). This process is demonstrated through an application and interview process.
